Not easily impressed with floor machines
**update** I had had it over 2 yrs, and still love this bad boy.
**update** I have had this cordless mop for over a year. I still LOVE It!!
I have a collection of disappointments as far as floor scrubbers are concerned. I was semi pleased with my shark steamer, but it was starting to loose it's umpf so I decided to replace it. I came across this mop during my Amazon search and saw the rating. I misunderstood water sprayer with steamer. When I started to use it for the first time, I realized my error and was disappointed for about 20 seconds. I started using it and haven't stopped...I have had this less than a month and use it everyday...I love it!!! I never really trusted steam alone and would spray the floor with other cleaners along with the steam anyway....so this really is just as affective I believe (I spray the floor with a bottle cleaner and keep plain water in the tank and spray to stretch the cleaner and also switch pads and use the water to help rinse the floor). The motor is pretty strong (not like the scrubber my mom had in the 80's...but it is pretty close). It was able to lift some dark spots off my hard wood floors that I wasn't able to get up with any of my other scrubbers/mops/steamers. The battery pops off easily and can be recharged very quickly (light turns from red to green) so that is really convenient. It stands. on it's own. You do not need to lay it against the wall to prop it up...this is massive for me...I can't stand having to lean my vacuums/mops...they inevitably slide sideways and either scratch something up or knock something over (or scare the hell out of the dog). My biggest nemesis is grout between tiles...it will be the death of me. This isn't quite as good as getting down on your knees with a scrubber and breaking your back, but it is the most acceptable thing I've come across. I put the grout cleaner on the grout, then I lock the tilt so it doesn't move...I hold the scrubber at 45 degree angle and run the pads into the groove. The rim is the perfect size...will probably ultimately burn out my machine, so probably not the best for the long run (so try at your own risk ;) ) ...I admit, I burn through these machines pretty quickly in general. (3 dogs, 3 cats, 2 guys). with it being cordless and relatively light weight, it is easy for me to carry up and down the stairs. I'll see how long this baby lasts me...hopefully at least a yr...if so, I'll buy another...and maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised and find I've met my match...we'll see.
