I generally throw my hair in a puff during the week and was looking for something that would support my puff but not pull on my hair. Until I purchased this band, I would take goodie headbands, break them at the seam, and then draw string them to make my puff. This method unfortunately pulls on my edges. This band, however, does not pull and still gives me the support of the goodie headbands. I have washed it every wash day along with my scarves, and it has help up in the washer. The little knots are easy to pull through the adjuster but firm enough that it has not separated. Only con is the price. I this anything over 10 dollars for a hair accessory is a bit much, but here we are doing it for the curls.
