This is by far the best spot cleaner that I have purchased and I think I have tried almost all of them available on the market. I bought this particular unit based on the best rug shampooers in 2017. I got it to use in my travel trailer which doesn't have a large carpet area. I do have a full sized Bissell upright cleaner but for the smaller areas this one is less hassle. What I really like about this Spotlifter, in addition to how well it cleans up puppy messes, is the ability to totally clean this machine, right down to the brushes which are removable. This is an important feature to me and most cleaners are lacking in that area. I also prefer the brushes on this unit instead of the round brush that was on the previous models that I have bought. Keep in mind that this is not a full sized carpet cleaner and it is meant for spills, spot cleaning, cleaning furniture, or cleaning up stains and puppy messes. If you use it for what it is intended for you will be happy with this purchase. If you want to clean large carpet areas purchase a full sized upright model. I am very happy with my purchase and I highly recommend.
