Update: I still place my 6 month old in this for naps! Since he has an instinct to toss and turn now at this age, I found that he does not sleep super long in it. Also, the Snuggle me was INVALUABLE during our two 3,000 mile road trips, lasting a span of 4 days each. The first road trip my infant was 2months old, and the second, 5 months old. I used it for diaper changes during rest stops in the car, and for hotel sleeping! I am very glad I got to use the case it came in to carry it (and his Puj tub) to the hotel rooms. Lastly, I cannot rave enough about how great the Snuggle Me is for infant PHOTOS. I used it for every month-to-month photo so far, each time with a different receiving blanket laid over it for variety. Photos turn out great :). I added a photo of him at 5months old in the Snuggle Me, about to get a diaper change on the center console in the car during the road trip. --------------------------------------- A few tips: Buy the non-organic Snuggle Me Original cushion on their website for LOADS cheaper, and works just as well! Secondly, I LOVE the ivory cushion cover, but cute receiving blankets are the perfect size to simply lay over the cushion if you want a different look. Thirdly, I chose this over the Rock N Play in fear of my son developing a flat head because of its elevation. Snuggle Me allows rotation of the head to avoid flat head development. You can also lay baby in the "propped" position in the Snuggle Me if needed. One last tip: it's great for infant photos! Keeps baby calm & looks great! My son lives in this cushion--napping, couch lounging, cosleeping! It arrived when he was 3 weeks old, and now he is 6 weeks old and I cannot rave enough about it. I use the Snuggle Me for co-sleeping in our room in his bassinet next to my bedside. It fits perfectly into the bassinet. At this point he sleeps 3 hours overnight in the bassinet, and recently did 5 1/2 hours for the first time. I like having him fall asleep in my arms after breastfeeding, and once he is asleep I transfer him into the Snuggle Me without him waking up or startling. His daytime naps only last 20mins to 1hr, but what I love is that during the daytime, I know that I have a SAFE place to set him down if I need free hands, and that is absolutely invaluable. Concerns: Size. At 3wks old my son's feet are at the edge. I hope it is still as effective at 5months old. It is intended for 0-6months, but they custom make bigger ones upon request. Breathability. The fabric covers are soft, but baby can work up a sweat in the right conditions. Now that you are an informed consumer and smart shopper, honestly just buy it now! It's worth it. You need it.
