I bought these for an old Dell 4700 I was rebuilding for a friend. The speakers offer excellent sound for the price. With the volume turned up on the speakers), on the computer and in iTunes, these little 3x3x3 cubes produce more than enough volume. You can also adjust the sound with the EQ in iTunes. These speakers combined with a $5 web cam and a memory bump, all for under $70, should keep the old Dell current for another couple of years. Of particular note, both the audio and USB cable are 40" long and hard wired to the left speaker.
