These are a must-have if you keep your house at a cooler temperature. I had noticed with my son's regular crib sheets that they were shockingly cold when I moved him from my bed to his crib after nursing him in the night. No wonder he cried when I put him down! I then tried putting down one of his softest baby blankets and putting him on top of that. He was much easier to soothe that way... But I was putting him at risk of death by doing it that way. Not OK. So I immediately started searching for options for sheets that were more like his baby blanket. I came across a number of brands and price points and read the reviews carefully. Ultimately I gave these sheets a try as the most affordable one that people rated highly. They are wonderful! I can't imagine how any of the more expensive ones are so much better that they justify the cost. These are so soft and feel neutral (not at all cold) to the touch when you go to put the baby down. I have not noticed any issues with him sweating or appearing to be overheated, which was one of my concerns with a blanket-like sheet. They fit the crib mattress snugly. He sleeps very well on them. I have been using them for over a month and have washed them twice. I wash them with other potential high-lint items like the baby blankets and such, so I don't know whether they lint up your regular clothes if they are washed with them. Coincidentally, two weeks after I received these new, I found a couple used ones of the exact same brand at the thrift store and bought them (I wish I had seen them first and saved the money!!). They were clearly well-used but it gave me the opportunity to see how they do over time. The undersides are pilled up a lot but the top surface, the only one that matters, are soft as the new ones. The elastics are still snug. Update: 4 months later and these still feel like new on the outer surface. There is pilling on the underside but it in no way impacts their comfort or sturdiness. We LOVE them. Picture is of my son on the blue cheetah print one that we got. Update 2/16/17: Still the only sheets I will use for him (except for the few weeks that it's hot in the summer in Alaska) and still using the original ones (plus the ones I found used).
