Nutri Ninja 900 Compared to Ninja Professional 1000/ PROS and CONS
I'm very happy with my new powerful Nutri Ninja 900 blender! I have owned it for about 3 months now. I needed a blender that would smoothly blend my greens. Especially since I blend on a monthly basis. I have noticed that the larger 72 oz Ninja blender 1000 with the fancy triple blade could only blend my greens into a green sludge no matter how long I blended, so I eventually returned it for this Nutri Ninja Pro 900! I usually don't bother writing reviews, but for this blender I just had to. This blender amazingly blends smooth like butter whatever I put in it (fruits & veggies of course....lol) in as little as 5-10 seconds! The motor is powerful and the blade has an addition mini rectangular blade attached to what kind of looks like a standard blade. The blade is strong and thick. And unlike the larger 72 oz with the fancy triple blade, you don't have to worry about slicing your fingers to shreds while cleaning the blades! When it blends the food, you can see a strong vortex action as it moves all items from the top to the bottom of the cup to be blended. The sound it emits is no louder than a regular blender. Its definitely quieter than the larger 72 oz Ninja 1000. If you follow the directions and DON'T OVER FILL the cups beyond the recommended fluid line, it will NOT spill out into the base. However, if you overfill it above the recommended fill line it will leak out when blending into the base! This is a minor issue since this is controlled by what you choose to do. There are two cups: the larger double cup easily holds two meals and the smaller cup comfortably holds one meal. So you can blend 3 meals for the day with both cups. I gave this product 4 instead of 5 stars for a few minor quirks! Here is a short list:
Cons:
The covers provided are not leak proof.
Ridges inside cup make it difficult to cleanly scrape the insides. I assume the ridges are for structural support. But not sure why they didn't design it on the outside.Maybe it would have interfered with the base somehow. Only the designer knows for sure I suppose. Just hope it wasn't an over site!
Would be nicer if the cups were made from strong glass.
Pros:
Blends super fast and super smooth (5-10 sec)!
2 cups provides 3 full meals.
Both cups easily store in the fridge
Does NOT sound obnoxiously loud. 900 watt motor of this blender is quieter than the 1000 watt Ninja Pro.
Easy to clean.
Takes up little counter space.
Powerful 900 watt motor should last a while (since you don't have to blend for long periods of time).
Very simple to use.
Small recipe book included.
Unlike the larger 72oz container of the Ninja Pro 1000, the smaller cubic area cups allow more efficient and smoother blending of foods.
Extra mini rectangular blade puts this blade about the rest. Won't slice your fingers like the Ninja Pro 1000!
Neural colored base won't be an eye sore on your counter top.
Lightweight durable plastic. However, I haven't had it long enough to see how well it will last.
I hope you find this review helpful as I have found many reviews helpful to me. Thanks to everyone who ever posted a review!
