I bought this and the very popular SouldAsleep product. They are both nice heavy duty mattresses. Haven't had them long enough to speak to long term durability. Size: SoundAsleep is smaller. Smaller than a standard queen and shorter than King coil. I prefer the larger size. Materials: Both are heavy which is a good thing. SoundAsleep is flocked only on top. King Coil is flocked everywhere but bottom. the extra flocking on the King Coil is nice for holding sheets. Unfortunately it's also black so it gathers and show dust and lint and whatever... Would be *much* better if it were a lighter color. Pump: Same. They seem just about as fast and just about as noisy. King Coil has a better cord keeping solution (hatch with latching cover). King Coil has longer cord--which is very nice. Other features: King Coil has alternate fill port. To me this is a killer feature. What are you going to do when your guests show up and the pump dies??? With the Sound Asleep product, you're stuck, and you know this is going to happen at the most in opportune moment... With King Coil you can get out the vacuum (or other pump) and fill the mattress--it may not be ideal, but no one has to sleep on the floor that night. So, in my opinion the King Coil is the clear winner. There is one area where the Sound Asleep product clearly outshines the King Coil. The Storage Bag... King Coil ships with bag that barely fits the mattress when it comes from the factory. GFL getting it back in that bag after you use it... some King Coil product manager decided to save a dollar and specified a horribly cheap (bad material) and small bag. The SoundAsleep on the other hand comes with a much larger bag made of a decent fabric--clearly someone was thinking about the user experience when they spec'ed out that part. The storage bag is the reason the King Coil only gets four stars and the reason the SoundAsleep is raised from three stars to four.
