I was so excited to get this Shark cordless vacuum! I am a stay at home mom with 3 kids under 7 and 3 dogs (including a Golden Retriever wooly mammoth). We have dark laminate floors that show EVERYTHING and dogs/kids are constantly in and out with crumbs/hair/glitter/mess everywhere. I typically vacuum something once a day. I have used a Dyson cordless vacuum for the last 5 years but it gave out recently and decided to give Shark a try! Here is my review in comparison with my Dyson: PROS: 1. It is extremely easy to put together. It snaps together just as easy as my Dyson and attachments as well 2. The canister holds alot! It allows me to vacuum larger areas without constantly emptying 3. The battery life is definitely longer than my Dyson's. *It claims 40 minutes but that is only if using the hand held vacuum!* for regular vacuuming on carpet/hard floors it is 25 minutes and for boost mode it is 10. 4. The suction is awesome!! It cleaned my Master bedroom carpet where my 3 dogs sleep with ease. It sucked up fluff from a destuffed dog toy that my Dyson would never touch!!! 5. There is a light on the front of the vacuum which is actually really helpful! 6. It is much more quiet, even in boost mode, than my Dyson! CON: 1. My Dyson came with a holder/organizer for all the attachments that also doubled as the charger and this has nothing. I wish it had something to help keep everything together 2. Biggest annoyance: To empty the canister you have to remove the long wand attachment always! It adds an extra step to emptying it out that I never had to do with my Dyson especially if I am emptying in the middle of vacuuming Overall this vacuum is great with just a few pet peeves. It suctions well and it will definitely be getting a TON of use!!
