Honest review. I did initially receive a FREE sample of this product after ordering a different carrier oil from the seller. Nothing was offered and I was not solicited for feedback in exchange for the product. I went back and purchased another bottle because I love the way my skin looks after using this product. I am a 48 yo African American woman and I am often told I look much younger than my age. I have struggled for years with some of the typical issues that plaque melanated such as hyperpigmentation, dark spots, melasma and have seen countless non AA dermatologists for one treatment or another. I also have very sensitive and oily skin so I typically shy away from putting oils on my face and using a moisturizer with a high SPF (55 for me) is a must! I use this oil every night as part of my regular skincare routine. I have had NO breakouts in months, no skin clogging, no blemishes, and my melasma is fading. I was using prescription Retina A ( which I was told prevents wrinkles, not an issue for me or any woman in my family; when I complained that my skin is appearing much lighter than I'd like, my dermatologist told me that it would not get any lighter than my complexing would allow whatever that meant. She also told me I had the skin of an Irish person and strongly recommended a high SPF moisturizer daily, year-round). The Retin A of course not only made my skin sensitive to the sun, and getting my eyebrows waxed caused burning, but it also lighted my cheek areas way too much and it was noticeable. I scrapped that $200+ product ($80+ w/ a GoodRX coupon) and opted for this $9.99 RoseHip Oil which has been a GREAT addition to my skincare routine!
