I have no idea what that other reviewer is talking about. Assembly? Not with the one I bought in January. Yes, one does need to set the height for best fit but that is just a matter of pushing in the little spring button and then tightening down the ring where the top and bottom halves come together. As for the foot, mine was already on there nice and tight. Yes the directions do say that an Allen wrench is needed to change the position of the foot but since it's already installed why bother? I have had 2 occasions so far where other people have inquired about how I like it. I do recommend it. It's just as stable as those four point ugly as sin ones that a hospital will issue and you don't wind up whacking your ankle with it. I think this is one of the best designs to come along in a very long time. I highly recommend it.
