I spent days looking for a decent wedge for my husband who has not been able to sleep in a bed since his hip replacement last year. Several varieties of wedges are on the market and I read many reviews and even took measurements of shoulders and our mattress. Having the wider size really makes a difference if you have to sleep on your back. Arms stay on the wedge, and also lends itself nicely to side sleeping. I tried it myself for a couple of nights. The longer length helps keep you from sliding down. If it is too tall, you can scootch down an inch or two and that solves the problem. You can also put a pillow comfortably on top, which is what I did. This wedge is pretty firm (though not as firm as others I looked at), as my husband is of a large stature and we needed something to support his weight. If you like a softer squishy feel, you may want to pass on this one. BUT, overall the fact that it came packaged well, took shape immediately with no creases or bends, has very little smell and fits on exactly half of our queen size bed, makes this product a winner. Really nice for watching TV in bed, and will be great for propping up during cold/flu season. Included some fresh bedding pics for you, hope this helps!
