It took about a full days worth of walking to break these puppies in. But once broken in, they are very comfortable. I have very weak ankles and tennis shoes just don't make the cut for me. I like how these boots come up to the ankles and they feel very secure in them. I also really like the color. I can't remember the actual name but it has peach accents and brown. The bottoms are very thick and durable. They provide a lot of traction for slick surfaces. I did a lot of research to find the perfect hiking boots under $200, and these definitely fit the bill. They are also waterproof. Now don't go swimming in them, but if it starts to rain, your feet should be dry for awhile.
