I was hesitant about ordering this unit initially because there were no review at the time but I overcame my fear a ordered it. One day shipping was great as we had a heat wave coming into town so it saved our sleep. The unit keeps the room cool. Few comments: It does sound like there is an airplane idling in your bedroom but then again, I don't know any quiet air conditioner. The hose connection to the back of the unit is poorly made. There is no screw or band holding it on. When moving the unit around it did fall off a few times. The piece that goes int he window is disappointing in fact that it does not come with any of the foam or rubber seal you would need to get a good install. The manufacturer did offer some advice and credit which was very nice of them but it should still come with the unit. The tube gets hot so many it should be insulated? At the end of the day it does a good job at keeping the room cool so I can sleep and my wife can snore.
