I used this yesterday to make a tomato sauce. It turned out very good! My partner like a chunky sauce, so I just pulsed the tomatoes a few times, and it was a great consistency for him. I like my sauce really smooth though, so I turned up the power and blended mine into a liquid. There were no chunks of garlic or tomato left, the way I like it. :) This blender has an interesting feature - when you plug it in, the top glows blue. For me, it serves as a reminder that it's plugged in and to be extra careful with it. When you're cooking a meal and doing a million things, it's a useful reminder. But I did notice one limitation of this blender. The instruction manual says, "Do not blend hot liquids." Is that because splattering liquids are dangerous to me (because I'll risk it!), or will it damage the blender? It's a bummer because I wanted to use the immersion blender for making soup. The soup will take a lot longer to make if I have to wait for it to cool down before blending it. One last great thing about this blender is the 12 month warranty it comes with. I had an immersion blender from a different brand that broke after three months. I'm glad OXA believes in their product enough to offer a warranty!
