My 88 year old mother has a an electric adjustable bed with a twin extra long mattress set on top of the metal bed frame. There are no box springs. Because of her difficulty getting up onto her feet, she has a tendency to slide at the mattress edge as she stands. This resulted in the mattress slipping on the metal bedframe. Several times the mattress has slid half way off the bed. The Gorilla Grip Mattress Gripper Pad solved the problem! We placed it on the metal frame and put the mattress on top. It has been several months now and the mattress has not moved! The gripping power is phenomenal. Even when she adjusts the bed to different positions, the pad stays in place. I had thought I might need to cut it into sections where the bed adjusts (bends) at the knee and back positions, but have had no problems with the pad bunching up. My mother's caregiver is really pleased and says it has made what was a daily problem disappear. Excellent product, a real lifesaver, and would purchase again...and again! Thanks Gorilla Grip!! 10/15/18 Update. Just saw my previous review for this mattress pad and it is still doing an excellent job. We have not had any more instances of the mattress slipping off the bedframe. Great product! 12/09/18 Update. My mother was moved to a long term care facility this week and we took the Gorilla Grip Pad to put under her mattress. Several of the facility staff were so impressed they wanted the info to order for a couple of other patients who have a tendency to slide their mattresses when getting out of bed. My mother's Gorilla Grip Pad is still doing the job!
