Okay.....I usually don't leave reviews but since the input of buyers can really be a decision maker for someone researching a product, I decided to contribute my thoughts. After doing much on-line research, I made the decision to buy this mattress. I am a 56 year old female with back and leg issues. I have degenerative disc disease in my lower back along with arthritis and have back pain pretty much 24/7. I can't tell you the last time I had a decent night's sleep. I was hoping to find a mattress that would relieve some of my pain and help me to sleep better. The mattress was delivered in a timely fashion and is heavy, but I managed to drag the box in my house. The mattress comes rolled up in plastic and was fairly easy to drag into my bedroom and pull up on my bed. Once you cut open the plastic, it's pretty cool to watch it decompress. As the mattress begins opening up, you'll notice the bottom faces up so it needs to be flipped over. It really does inflate to full size rather quickly, as do the two pillows that come with it. The manufacturer says to wait a full 72 hours to sleep on it....I however, waited 30 hours. I did notice a slight odor from the mattress upon opening, but by the time I slept on it, I did not really notice it at all. My bedroom is very well ventilated and maybe that helped. The two pillows, however, do have a much stronger smell, that still smell after 5 nights. I use them anyway as they are very comfortable. I am hoping they air-out eventually. As for the mattress itself, I really like it a lot. It is a firm mattress, but it does "hug" your form when you lay on it, so it is not "hard". Also, I am a side sleeper and have no trouble shifting on it. I will say it has tremendously improved my back pain in just 5 nights. I was previously sleeping on a heating pad every night to try to get some relief. Also, it sleeps cool. Does not get hot. Overall, this is an extremely nice mattress (especially for the price) and I highly recommend it. I am very satisfied with my purchase and I think you will be too. (UPDATE - 2 weeks later, I can't believe the difference this mattress has made in relieving my back pain! I LOVE this mattress.)
