I NEVER write reviews but I needed to share this! I was skeptical whether this case would protect the screen or stay together if put under harsh dropping conditions. I’m here to tell you, it works damn well. Have you ever had one of those mornings where you’re in a rush and you put things on the hood of your car fully intending to move it inside of the vehicle when you take off, but don’t? Well, I happened to leave my brand new 5 day old iPad in that very spot and took off. It has great grip because it stuck to my car for 3 miles going 30-40 mph making various turns. When I got onto the access road I began going 50, at 55mph is when something flew up at my windshield and smacked it then catapulted onto the road behind me. I watched as it did various flips and somersaults of freedom as I sped away still not realizing it was my tablet. I couldn’t quite figure out what the large but soft item could have been which hit by windshield so hard so I asked myself if it could have been anything I left on the car. I dismissed that idea as silly because what did I own that was black like that?!?! And then it hit me. I used the find my iPad tracker and it confirmed my worst fears, that my tablet I just got and encased in a reasonably priced case was on the side of the highway. After some wandering, I found it on the side of the road in the emergency lane with only this deep scratch on the case only!!! My tablet is completely unscathed! I’m in SHOCK! I do not recommend the 55 mph test but if it happens to you, rest assured!!!! I will need to replace the case but I will happily do that. The only thing I’m not fond of with the case is that the screen cover has that oil sheen type of clarity so you do have to watch movies and such from a certain angle. It hasn’t been an issue for me. Edit: it’s now 5/20 and I never replaced the case. Still works great. The stand legs fell off but they go back on. The damage to the screen protector wiped off eventually. My 4 yo uses my tablet daily and has yet to destroy it. Bonus points. Edit edit: it’s now 7/27/21 and we still use this case. No reason not to. It’s perfect. The leg stands fell off. Who cares? My 6 yo carries it everywhere and dings it around and there’s no damage to the tablet at all.
