I received this tote from the manufacturer at no cost for evaluation, and here are my thoughts. This is a gorgeous tote that's made of split leather that's been buffed and coated to refine the finer hide markings, giving this bag the appearance and texture of more expensive full grain leather. The leather is evenly dyed, has a soft sheen, feels soft and supple, and it has a mild new leather scent when it first arrives. The bag stands on its reinforced bottom when empty, but it's not stiffly structured, so it's a bit floppy when empty. Measuring roughly 17" across at the top, tapering to 15.2" at the bottom x 5.3" wide x 10.8' high, this bag is the perfect size for everyday use and travel. Designed to be carried over the shoulder or by hand, the 10.8" handles are slender and flat so they won't roll off your shoulder, and are adjustable. This is a beautiful well made bag with meticulous stitching, well reinforced stress points, zippers that open and close smoothly, and genuine metal hardware rather than the cheap plastic some manufacturer's use these days. While most of the bag's storage is inside, there's a zippered compartment on the rear of the bag's exterior that makes a good place to tuck away extra cash when traveling. The bag has a zippered top to secure your contents, and the inside is fully lined in a washable dark brown nylon-like material. Basically, it's two large open compartments divided by a zippered center compartment with a zippered compartment on the rear wall and two sleeves for cell phone or other gadget on the other wall. The tote is roomy enough to easily hold an iPad or up to a 14" laptop plus notebooks, folders, and your daily essentials, but it has no padding so be sure to use protective sleeves or cases if carrying electronics. The bottom has no feet to protect it from scuffs, but it is reinforced. Overall, I love the way this tote looks and how soft the leather is. It's roomy enough for my everyday needs without being too big, it's meticulously made, and it looks way more expensive than it actually is.
