We recently purchased a shed to go in our back yard. The shed is located a decent distance from our house and since it is not wired for electricity, we needed something that would provide some light if we were to go out back at night/dusk. This light unit had some very good reviews and was listed at a reasonable price so we decided ordered it. After we installed the batteries, I proceeded to go mount the light on the shed. I decided to place it high near the peek and under the overhand on the front of the shed. Since I was mounting it on the outside I wanted to make sure that I used screws which would not rust. Screws were provided in the box but I could not determine if they were stainless so I opted for some dark grey deck screws I had on hand. I removed the light from the mounting base to make the installation go smoothly. I pre-drilled holes for the screws after marking the placement with a pencil through the openings. Once drilled, I screwed the base to the shed and attached the light to the base tightening the thumb screw once the angle and proper position were achieved. I made sure to position the light first (prior to securing with screws) with the light fully assembled to ensure that I had enough clearance to remove the light down the road when the batteries need to be changed. After it was dark, I went out to see how well it was going to work. The motion sensor picked me up about 15-18 feet away from the shed and the LED lights shined to a radius well over that. It was nice and bright. After a few minutes the light went out, but as soon as I moved, it popped back on. I think this will be a good addition to the shed. It will help me see at night and will help deter any thieves should they try to sneak up on it. Overall, I am very satisfied. I typically do a lot of research on products before I make a purchase and rely heavily on other peoples reviews prior to buying an item.
