Breville Smart Oven or Cuisinart TOB-260 Chef's Convection Oven? Why I chose Cuisinart.
Up until this past week, I had a Breville Smart Oven, and loved it. Until it died, and would no longer heat. Reading online, I determined it wasn't worth the cost to fix (about $150.00) and so began researching for a replacement. I was happy with the Breville, and had it for two years. After reviewing, I decided to try the Cuisinart. Why? 1). 3 year warranty, as opposed to the 1 year warranty with Breville 2). The oven has a light feature. So nice now that I have it, to actually really see how things are cooking 3). This product has an additional "add 30 seconds to cook time button). Nice to use if you need just a little more time (toast, browning your pizza a little more). 4). There is a dual cook function - for example begins with broil and switches to bake. I haven't tried this function yet, but am intrigued to try! 5). Two cooking racks as opposed to one. Nice that I can make two pizzas at a time. 6). Bigger - actually can hold a 9 x 13 pan Be aware if your pan has handles that protrude from the sides that pan may not fit. 7). Comes with broiler and pizza stone. The Breville came with a broiler pan and pizza pan, but very lightweight. I read about all these features, but now that I am using the oven I wonder why I ever did without it! The Breville is nice, but for my money its all about Cuisinart.
