First off, I paid for this oil with my own money, and received no promotional discount or free item in exchange for my review. This is a "real" review. 1. Purity. I tested this oil using an evaporation test, testing two bottles, from two different batches. I found the essential oil to be pure and uncut, and it left no residue after evaporation. 2. Quality of scent. My first bottle of oil had a slightly unpleasant "grass clippings" undertone, which dissipated within a few weeks. Based on the batch number, my order was sent only a few weeks after date of manufacturing. Once the oil aged slightly, the smell was perfect. The second bottle smelled fabulous from the beginning. It is from a different batch, and I'm sure that the slight variation is due to differences between plant harvests. This is a natural product, after all. Both oils smell like first distillation products (better for aromatherapy/health benefits) as opposed to second distillation ("candy cane"/sweet scent, which is good for fragrance.) I use the oil for many purposes, and prefer first distillation peppermint oil. 3. Efficacy. I have used this oil several ways: diffused to treat headaches and nausea, topically in a muscle rub, and placed on cotton balls as a deodorizer in a stale closet. This oil performed as well as oils costing many times more. I found this oil to be very effective. 4. Included reference materials. I read through the emailed materials, and they were okay. They would benefit from a thorough proofreading, and I didn't learn anything new (though, I have practiced aromatherapy for 20+ years, and have done extensive independent research.) That being said, these materials were quite satisfactory for being a free introductory guide to using peppermint essential oil. 5. Customer service. Fantastic. I contacted them by email with a concern regarding my first order, and received a quick response. They stand behind their oils, and did a great job in getting things right. I will order again in the future, and I look forward to trying their other products. Again, since many of the reviews are "free product in exchange for a review" type, let me state that I ordered this product on my own, and paid the regular retail price.
