I almost did not purchase because of their comments but I correctly assumed that the large percentage of 5 star reviews can’t all be wrong. Lid complaints are due to user error. When my pot arrived I immediately checked the lid fit. It was indeed very tight and took a good amount of force to line up the locking tabs. I continued to lock and unlock the lid and left it sit overnight in the locked position. Long story short, I’ve used the pot 3x and after each use the lid is easier to lock taking minimal force to align. Think about it, you don’t want a loose fitting lid when dealing with hot liquids. After a few uses it is no issue whatsoever, it lines up perfectly. Just needed a little breaking in period. Great pot. I expect to use it for many years.
