I like the harness and my dog is more comfortable than wearing a standard collar. This was a worthwhile purchase since my dog does not need a harness constantly. The issue people should be aware of is the sizing. You should definitely consider ordering on the high side. My dog is a 17 1/2 lb. French Bulldog and the Large is snug on her. Since the vendor did not supply a helpful guide (here or on their own site) until I opened the package and saw the attached tag, here's the breakdown in one spot: X-Small - 3-4 lbs. 11-13" chest. 7-8" neck. Small - 5-7 lbs. 14-16" chest. 8-10" neck. Medium - 7-10 lbs. 16-19" chest. 10-13" neck. Large - 11-19 lbs. 19-23" chest. 13-15" neck. X-Large - 20-29 lbs. 20-29" chest. 15-17" neck. XX-Large - 29-40 lbs. 29-35" chest. 17-20" neck. The tag shows a 16 lb. pug wearing a Large. A pug is clearly not a large breed by any normal standard. Like I said, it fits on my Frenchie, but she's a smaller female.
