I've got 2 large cats, and for the past few years have been using Drinkwell Platinum Pet Fountains. These work great, but the plastic is almost impossible to keep clean. I saw this fountain, and thought that stainless steel might work a lot better than the plastic, so I bought one. It holds the same about of water as the Platinum, is easier to clean, is quieter, and the bowl part is bigger for our cats to get their big heads in there to drink. They took right to it, didn't need any time to get used to it. As soon as I turned it on, they sniffed around for a minute, and started drinking.
