I've been through a number of Android Wear watches to date, and none even comes close to this Gear S3! It's my first experience with the Tizen operating system and I absolutely love it. Much more intuitive for me than Android Wear which I found clunky even after using Android watches for a while now. Plus, the wrist vibrations are fantastic, unlike my Huawei watch which was so weak that I would often miss notifications. Battery life with the S3's big battery is stellar and I leave ambient mode on the watch-face on all the time. Drain seems to be in the range of 3% per hour during the day with tons of notifications coming in and lots of other things running which makes this a solid 2 day watch if you forget to charge overnight. Only nit is that I wish it was easier to mute the watch (but leave vibrations on) in the quick settings. There's "Do not Disturb" which turns of all notifications, but sometimes you want things to just be silent but still get the vibration on your wrist so you know an email or text came in without telling the world. Hopefully Samsung adds this at some point rather than having to fish through the Settings menus. Other than that, no other real gripes. VERY happy with the S3. Here's to a job well done, Samsung!
