I feel I have to preface this with admitting that I don't care for football, and I typically don't play sports games. So I really expected this game to be an aweful experience for me. I couldn't have been more surprised. It turned out to be a ton of fun and was very engaging. My favorite part were the seasons, where you get to play through a normal football season, playing game after game with the only real difference being a much shorter time per quarter. You very quickly earn plenty of money to outfit your team better while playing matches that were very engaging -- I ended up playing a whole season in a couple of days. Outfitting your team is also easy, because there is a great auction house that is very easy to search through and find great deals. You really don't need to buy packs, because you can find gold players for as low as a few hundred each. Not only is gameplay fun, but for the free player you can get far fast enough that it doesn't hurt you to not dish out cash.
