Overall, very good!
The Amazon Fire HD 6" Tablet is a GREAT deal considering the price point of only $99. Of course, you don't get a pure Android experience since they add their customized overlay, but thats one of the trade-offs for the price. Most apps that you use everyday are available from the Amazon App Store (think Facebook), although they are not always as up-to-date as their official counterparts from the Google Play Store. It does have a rear and front-facing camera, but the quality is not very good at all (for $99, you can't expect much). Thats what your cell phone cameras are for. Wifi and bluetooth work perfectly, I was able to stream the audio to my bluetooth headphones with no lag. Scrolling seems to be running very smooth with all animations working and with no noticeable lag. I did notice one issue with the YouTube app from their app store. When viewing videos in full screen landscape mode, the soft keys and video scrubbing bar are glitching. As soon as they disappear, they come back and continue to do so without stopping. Makes viewing the video unwatchable as the scrubbing bar takes up a considerable portion of the lower part of the screen. Hopefully this is just an issue with the app itself that can be fixed in the future, because other video apps, including Netflix and Amazon Instant Video, did not have this issue. Overall, this is a very good entry level tablet for those not looking to spend a couple hundred dollars. As long as you can get over the fact that it will not run exactly like your Android, it is a very worthy investment. If this review helped you at all please give me a "helpful review!" Thanks!
