Good tent, but Full-Fly is better
Good things have already been said about this tent - it IS a great tent. However, there are two different versions of this tent. There is this one, and there is the full-fly version. I bought both and there are multiple differences between the two. Here are the differences between the Full Fly and Half Fly -
Full Fly: Full length rain fly, D-Door (Ridgid door that swings open), 8 windows (3 large windows on each side of the tent, which are opened by zippers on the fly) + window on each door.
Half Fly: Half rain fly, NO D-Door (Doors are standard zipper), 4 windows (2 windows on each side of the tent, which are opened by zippers on the fly) + window on each door. Note: The Windows on this version are not as large as the Full-Fly, as they start higher up the tent walls.
Both tents are great, however, I believe the Full-Fly version is worth the extra money. It has better airflow due to the additional windows, and better rain/wind protection due to the full fly. The D-Door, if you've never used one, is amazing and makes the old zipper-style doors seem very outdated. I am keeping the the Full-Fly version of this tent and the Half-Fly version is on its way back to Amazon (Though it cost me $40 in shipping, unfortunately). I give the Half-Fly version of this 4 stars due to the lack of windows and lack of a D-Door. The Half-Fly should still be plenty good enough to keep out the rain, so if you're wanting to save money, it's still a good choice.
