This is the perfect preschool backpack for my 2 year old. We got the smaller size one listed. My daughter is small for her age and I was so glad this fit her well. The shoulder straps are nicely padded for comfort and the chest clip is nice to help keep it on her. It does *barely* fit a standard size folder in it and zips (corners had to bend slightly to fit the curved top of the bag). But has plenty of room for whatever else she will need to take back and forth from preschool & daycare. We have the straps snug to as small as they go to fit her, so would be a good fit for older toddlers as well. School age children will want to go with the larger size to more easily fit multiple standard size folders and notebooks inside.
