I am one of those people who rarely writes reviews but I have to brag on this product. I researched every one of these ice makers and was leary to spend the money, but when I bought a Samsung refrigerator with a super skinny ice maker, I knew there was no way that it would make enough ice for my family of 8. I was skeptical whether this ice maker would work well enough for us because we go through a lot of ice. We had been purchasing a 10lb bag of ice every 3 days from our local super market. It was costing me a small fortune. Well, this little ice maker has been one of my best purchases ever! We use it ever day, but filling it is a big pain, so I assigned one child/day to keep it going and to fill the ice maker and as long as that child does their job, it makes enough ice. We dump it all day long and we always seem to have the ice we need. Every few days we have enough left over which I save in plastic bags in the freezer for when we need additional ice for a cooler or when company comes over. Overall a wonderful purchase, we have not shut it off since we got it over a year ago!
