Bought for our 12-yr old black lab who has been showing showing more pronounced signs of joint pain. He was taking a joint supplement the past 6 months with Glucosamine etc but it didn't seem like it was enough. I searched for natural pain relief and found this one that has both. We started dosing this product incrementally over the course of a couple weeks slowly replacing the other supplement with this one until we reached recommended daily dosage of just this product. After a couple of days at full dosage, his activity level was noticeably increased. He was eager to hop up and go outside with us every time the door opened whereas before he just laid there half the time and looked at us like, "meh, I want to go but it's just too much trouble getting up and down the porch." He's been on the full daily dose over two weeks now and has been consistently more active and having a much easier time getting up and down the steps. We've also noticed less grunting when he gets up and down from a laying position and he rests longer periods of time before having to reposition (and grunt in discomfort). These are definitely giving him enough relief and comfort to justify the expense. It makes us feel good to see him have more pep in his step and wags of the tail. He gobbles these down with his morning and evening meal with no problem. But our doggies don't get human food or treats aside from the occasional baby carrot or nightly cricket if they are fast enough to catch one... so they aren't picky! I just wonder if he will build up a tolerance to the pain relief ingredients and they start losing effectiveness unless increased. I have some more research to do but for now he is resting comfortably near my feet :) Updated to 5 stars: we used this supplement the last 20 months of his life. The couple of times we accidentally ran out for a day or two, we could tell a noticable difference. Then thankfully I found it on subscribe & save because we didn't want him to go without it again. He had a more comfortable last couple of years <3 and he deserved it.
