At 40+, and 4 kids, 2 by csection, I needed some help getting back to that flat, firm look, so I bought this. I bought a large, based on prior reviews. It definitely took some work getting into it, lol, but it fit good. What I really liked was that it fit from just below my bust to the bottom of my torso. Some waist trainers dont fit high enough and give the back fat, while others dont fit all the way to the bottom of your belly, creating a bulge and defeating the purpose. This fit from top to bottom, as shown in pic. I pushed the waist of my pants down to show how low it goes...in fact, the pants are still covering a bit of the waist trainer. Yes, it goes all the way down to cover even the dreaded mommy pouch! The downside is the shoulder straps rub uncomfortably around arm pit area. I did take previous reviewers suggestions and wore a tank top underneath. Also note: its HOT! But that may help sweat out a bit of fluff ;-) overall, I am very happy with this product.
