This works well. The plastic comes out when you hold the feed button, and cuts off when you let go. The speed is controllable with a slider on the side. You can set the temperature over a wide range. It shows both the target temperature, and the current temperature. I can make things with it, but it's obvious I need a lot more practice to make anything that looks good. I got it mostly for repairs, and it seems pretty good for that. Cons: The cord is a little short. Things that weren't initially obvious: After you plug it in, the heater stays off until you hit the feed button to wake it up. At that point the heater cuts on, and the temperature starts to climb to the target. I waited several minutes for it to heat up, while wondering what was happening, before I tapped the feed button and it started to heat. Another reviewer said his came with no hole in the nozzle. Mine came with some white filament left in the nozzle, possibly from testing. It was almost the same color as the ceramic nozzle, and made it _look_ like there was no hole. However, I could see the difference with a 30X magnifier. Once it heated up, the new filament pushed out the white stuff. I needed a high temperature, so I suspect the white plastic was ABS. I suggest MYNT3D use a colored filament for testing to avoid this confusion.
