Only having the use of one arm, I was always hesitant to use a full size circular saw. I've used this saw a few times now and it is pretty much perfect for me - no kickback, no significant torque twisting of any kind, and very well balanced. The hand grip is about the size of a soda can and the safety/trigger setup is not awkward at all, although it may take a little time to get used to finger placement. I always let the blade reach full speed (which is very quick) before starting my cut - don't force the saw and your reward is a clean cut. So far, I've only used it on 2x4 and smaller wood, with the supplied blade, and have had no issues. Another benefit of this saw is its size, it doesn't take up any more room than a smaller fire extinguisher or a regular size thermos. Long panel cuts, such as with plywood, may be tricky due to the small size of the blade but there was a guide included with my purchase which I have not used yet.
