Snarky urban fantasy is the new magical realism
And I want to make a case for Deborah Wilde as the next Cynthia Ozick, another writer who knew her way around a golem. This book is both fun and a contribution to Jewish folklore. Highly recommended. Also I want to go back and read the Nava Katz series.
