Very easy to setup! I bought this for my parents so that I could share pictures with them which we no longer have prints for them. It is nice to know that next holiday that I can just load the pictures onto their frame, from my house for them to see the next morning at their home. My dad did want to have some control on the pictures that were displayed, in that some of the pictures he would like to delete. There is no function on the remote pad for this, even though the remote has a delete button. The answer was to give him the logon for the frame so that he could go to the website and delete the pictures he didn’t like. This may be an issue with some who are not computer literate. I have the 18" frame in my house and love it. Both frames have incredible displays, and there are easy to understand controls for displaying the pictures. I am still trying to figure out the movie function. The one problem I have with the frame is that I assumed that the sleep function that is part of the software would cause the frame to go to sleep regardless of other settings. The fact is you have a choice between having the motion detection on or the sleep function on. I wanted this frame to totally sleep so that when I wake up in the middle of the night it would not blind me coming on in my kitchen, and also wanted the motion detection so that if I am sitting watching a movie it turns itself off. You can put a timer on the power cord but the frame does not automatically start a playlist but goes to the main menu. As for now a piece of tape goes over the motion sensor when I go to bed. I have contacted nix play and there does seem to be some kind of work being done in this direction. I think it is an excellent product, I have mine mounted to the wall and my parents is sitting on a counter, and they both look very sharp with a very nice display. The remote also allows you to scroll through the pictures instead of waiting for whatever picture delay you have set, so you can rapidly show off some pictures to friends or family. Update 10 May 2015 The latest update just fixed my problem and now the sleep function and the motion detection work together. This product just became excellent because nixplay was listening.
