I’ve used the pur humidifier for over 3 years now. (I believe it’s one of the top choices on Amazon). First for my firstborn and now for my newborn. Although we were content with that humidifier, we had to refill it everyday, which was quite a hassle to walk back and forth downstairs to add filtered water.. and we had to remove the filter tank each time cause it needs to flip over upside down to get refilled. With our second child, we realized we needed something with a larger tank & strong humidity for the dryness in Southern California. Here are the things we like so far: 1) the tank is huge. It holds ~14 ish cups of water! This is about 3 x the size of our old humidifier 2) doesn’t take up too much surface space. Although this is a larger humidifier, it spans more in height than in circumference. It takes up just a teeny bit more counter space on our child’s dresser than our smaller humidifier. 3) humidity is strong. There are 3 levels, but in my opinion, the lowest level looks like the highest level in my old humidifier. 4) you can fill water in from the top and just remove the lid. Makes it easy to just leave the humidifier plugged in the room. Things we wish could improve: 1) no essential oils allowed? The title and description of the product implies that you can diffuse essential oils, making this a humidifier AND a diffuser, which was a huge draw for me because I diffuse oils in my house, esp when we’re sick. However, the product manual says NOT to add any essential oils or any chemical products/additives into the tank or else you will no longer qualify for the warranty for the product (because it may damage the tank). This was a little confusing and will probably contact the seller about this detail for clarity. Otherwise, it works well as a humidifier and is easy to use.
