The Pros, Cons and Oks for Huawei's MediaPad (HR).
Pros:__________
- Stylish aluminum design making it slick, light, sturdy, and strong. Closely resembles the IPad Mini.
- HD Screen is sharp and crystal with its 2,560 x 1,600 resolution.
- The colors are vivid, blacks are dark and the brightness levels are extremely high as you will be able to view it comfortably when you’re facing the sun.
- The fingerprint sensor is fast and accurate.
- Dual Harman-Kardon speakers (that are on the top and bottom) are the main reason you’ll buy it. Super loud, crisp, and one of the loudest speakers I’ve ever heard in a tablet.
- I can only compare to this with the Apple Mini 4 as both are similar and this one is more affordable.
- Android 6.0 Marshmallow (For Android lovers).
- The tablet does an incredible job on the 3D graphics as it does outperform compare with Samsung and Apple tablets.
- Fastest android tablet that I used for gaming.
- Features a split-screen mode option.
- WIFI and LTE models.
- 8 Meg pixel camera has a great autofocus feature as well as the camera program have so many programs that you can use in making a video and or taking a picture. Beauty Video, Time Lapse, Panorama, Audio Note, Pro Photo, Pro Video, Night Shot, Light Painting, Watermark, HDR, Good Food, Document Scan, there are so many as those who are deep into photography will love this.
- Neat programs such as a color mode feature and eye comfort which removes the blue light in order for you to sleep better (Something that a lot of programs are starting to integrate).
- No lag whatsoever or any overheating when I pushed it with movies and numerous games.
Cons and Oks:__________
- Split screen option is cool but the screen is too small to make it a useful tool.
- Around 8-9 hours of battery life when playing games, HD movies. I assume it’ll go up if you don’t push it continuously but, for those who want to take this on a road trip, I got an average of 9 hours (Lower than what Huawei is stating)
- A lot of bloatware (apps) that you really don’t need to use and can’t be uninstalled.
- There is no bass at all in these speakers.
- Video clips you make are not the best. They will look around 720-480 in pixel quality.
- Camera’s zoom drops the image quality greatly, will not be using the zooming feature.
- The virtual keyboard is big, compare to the size of the screen.
- Wish they had a USB type C port.
Bottom Line:__________
The only product I can compare this table with is the IPad Mini as both are relativity the same in built and in quality. The speakers, gaming and camera features (not taking account the zooming feature) will be the main reason why you’ll buy this because it beats Apples and Samsung in these sections. The size and built of Huawei’s tablet doesn’t make it feel cheap and it’s a great alternative to Apple since you’re buying a tablet that is in the same category in style and software with the IPad Mini 4.
Overall like many tablets it does have its glitches, but if you’re looking for an alternative to Apple then this is going to be it. It’s pricier than most Android tablets but you’re getting a tablet that will hold its ground. Verdict: King of speakers, fast in gaming, and a substitute to Apple. This might be the tablet for you.
Hopefully I was a help to you,
