If you are considering home birth at all, I highly recommend reading this book. It is a literal wealth of information. Everyone has their own reasons for birthing at home, but regardless of how much you know, you will surely learn something new by reading this.
Along with previous "natural" birthing books that I had read my pregnancy prior, in which I birthed in a hospital with a midwife, my husband and I decided to home birth and this is the only tool I had during labor for him to reference. Sure, I read through a ton more resources, but honestly, a lot of that information was reiterated here in this book. It's basically just a compilation of all the best information to have, especially if you are a planner and you like to be sure to have everything just right, just in case, perfectly aligned... Get this book.
I also used it as a resource following my home birth because there is some really great information for postpartum towards the end as well. I will 100% have this book on hand for any future births we may have as well. (Non-book related, but we met with a midwife for the first half of my pregnancy before fully deciding to go unassisted. This is something I would strongly consider for myself during future pregnancies as well, and you should too if you're on the fence!! Then buy this book =P )
