I replaced an older dashcam mainly for three features. I wanted 4K video, I wanted built-in GPS, and I wanted WiFi to allow easy downloading of video without having to remove the card or camera to get my recordings. The Rove does a pretty good job at all 3 things. The video quality is great and has excellent night time visibility. It makes your recordings crisp and clear as you expect video to be in this day and age. The grainy night time vids that you can barely see are long gone. The built-in GPS means your recordings include location information (can be important for accident investigations) and include speed stamp (also important) without having to run yet another wire and piece separate from the camera. Getting videos direct to your phone works well. It could be improved for sure. First, the download speeds are slow and I have confirmed I am getting the expected speeds (2-3 Mbps) and the manual is unclear about the process. It needs to be updated to tell you exactly how to do it. Additionally even after you download not all data is on that video. If you want full function and details you still must use the card or connect camera to a computer and use the Rocs software to get the complete data. I believe this could be fixed with a software update but who knows. It is convenient to get video to upload or share quickly though. Just slow and lacking full information. Also nice is the impact sensor (parking function) because, unlike many dash cams, it doesn't require constant power. It can use the battery power to take a brief video (2-3 minutes) so you don't need a constant power cigarette lighter port or USB port (harder and harder to find) and do the have to hard wire the camera (additional kit required if you want to do that). So far I am overall impressed by the product. Hope WiFi speeds improve in future versions. I definitely recommend it for the price especially.
