First, here is a reviewer tip: never write a long review inside Amazon. Use a word processor program first, so you don't accidentally hit a random key that pages back and makes you lose over an hour of work, like I just did. Wow. I was ready to quit on it altogether after that happened, but I am here because I know how frustrating it was for me when I was shopping and I had so many questions. So I am attempting a second go at this for you. This time, in WordPad, then copied into Amazon. Ha ha! Take that, mystery page back key! Let's see if I can remember everything. The first thing I think you should know is the Ashley Tallow Earth line is the same as the Ashley Larkinhurst line. So if you want to mix and match for a better price point, you can, like I did. I bought two Ashley Tallow Earth rocker recliners to go with the Ashley Larkinhurst sofabed, because they were cheaper than the Ashley Larkinhurst rocker recliners by $50 at the time I ordered them, saving me $100 total. The only thing I had to go by was that Amazon said on the Ashely Tallow Earth listings there was a newer version, the Ashley Larkinhurst. The design in the pictures seemed the same, but the colors in the Larkinhurst pictures seemed lighter than the Tallow pictures. But they are in fact, exactly the same. I think the Larkinhurst pictures are truer to the shade of the sofa and chairs, in case you were curious. The next thing that I think is important to know is I had inside delivery for free. I have Amazon Prime and everything I ordered was sold by Amazon. I think free inside delivery is something you should know about, as it was a surprise for me. I recommend that when you get a call from the delivery company or get a phone number for them through Amazon, to make sure you tell them that Amazon covers inside delivery so that they have two guys bring the sofabed, and not one. The delivery company arranged for a second delivery guy to meet the truck at my house to help with the sofabed. It would not have happened if I hadn't asked them the night before if we had inside delivery. The receptionist researched and said I did and she would let the dispatcher know who arranges the daily delivery. Otherwise, only one guy would have brought the sofabed and it would have been impossible for him to bring it inside by himself. I am not sure if I had inside delivery because I have Prime or if Amazon includes that for all orders, so you may want to check with Amazon directly to make sure. The sofabed arrived encased in plastic with only the corners protected by hard cardboard. It was raining outside and the plastic did protect the sofa from the rain. So onto the sofabed. The sofa is nice and firm with a little bounce when you sit from the spring of the bed underneath. It sits up higher than my old sofa, so I do not need to perform acrobatics to get in or out of it. The cushions aren't as wide as our old sofa, so when we sit, we have perfect posture, making it so much better for our backs. I like that the cushions are reversible and that we can switch them, this should extend the life of the cushions. The throw pillows are thick and firm. They arrived shrink wrapped in plastic and very flat, but trust me, they will get fat and firm soon enough. We've had the sofa over a week and the pillows are luckily softening up a bit, as I found them too hard. I wish the sofa had one more throw pillow, for when we have the bed open, to put in the crack between the bed and the sofa. The bed portion: There is a zip tie at each end underneath the bed keeping it together. The delivery men removed them for me and let me open it up to check everything out and make sure it was all good. The memory foam mattress arrived encased in plastic. We took it off, the delivery men left, and I made the bed with queen sheets (fitting loose), before closing it back up. A few days later I needed the bed for a migraine attack (so I would not keep my husband awake) and was able to open it easily and climb right in. I have back problems so I wish the mattress were a couple of inches thicker. I have a 14-inch memory foam bed I normally sleep on for my back, and that may be spoiling me. It is still quite comfortable, all things considered. Initially, I had trouble with a bar across the width of it that I could feel, that was the first night. I suspect I did not have it open right, because I have slept in it the last two nights and it was very very comfy, no bar feeling. My husband slept with me in it last night so we could sleep by a fire, and that was so cool! Now my son wants to sleep in it so he can sleep by a lovely fire in our fireplace. We always wanted to be able to do that, and now we can. We are all very pleased with the bed part of the sofabed and the ease of opening and shutting it. I am not sure what went wrong with my first night in it, but I cannot replicate the bar feeling at all now, so I have a feeling I did something wrong on the first night. I had three separate deliveries, this sofabed and the two rocker recliners. All arrived unscathed. There is a slight defect with the sofa's nail head trim at the bottom right side when you are facing the sofa. It is NOT noticeable, you have to look for it. I do not think it fell off, but there should have been one more right at the end. I will include pictures so you can see. I thought about calling Amazon to see about getting one, or Ashley, but my husband said to let it go. One has to look at both sides at the same time, and to really be looking for it, to even notice. That is the only flaw we have noticed. If you are interested in the chairs, I am leaving a review for them next, but to sum up, they are very very nice and comfortable. I am attaching pictures of one of the Tallow Earth chairs with the Larkinhurst Earth sofa beside it, so you can see they match. Also I am including one picture of the right side where a nail head seems to be missing, and one picture of the entire sofa so you can see how it is hard to tell about the one nail head missing. I will be updating after some time has passed to let you know how the sofabed is holding up. I normally like to wait a while to review something like this, but thought that perhaps what information I have now you would find useful. I hope I covered everything. I tried to address the things I remember I wanted information on when I was shopping for the sofa and chairs. 4/20/2017 Update: It has been brought to my attention that Amazon Prime does not necessarily mean you will get free inside delivery. I did get it, on three separate orders, but someone else was told, no, when they called Amazon. Please call Amazon ahead of time to verify if you will get free inside delivery. And please comment here or in your review to let everyone know if you did get it, or not. It was a surprise to me at the time I received the two chairs and sleeper sofa when I did get it. Also, we still love this set so far. It is so comfortable, soft, and beautiful. We have slept on the sofa bed numerous times and were comfortable. We are so happy we bought this set. 8/24/2017 Update: I am very grateful to have this sofa and the matching recliner. Yesterday my husband had abdominal surgery. He has to recline, so he did in the matching recliner. I needed to sleep nearby to help him, so I slept on the sofa bed. Both are so nice to have. He said his only complaint is his neck hurts from sleeping in the chair overnight and hanging out in it during the day. We have tried things to help with that, but there is no room for a pillow, it puts strain on his neck. I found these flat decorative pillows, which he is using, but it is not perfect. So for a long term kind of use, like convalescing, the reclining chair is not quite ideal, but it works. The sofa bed came in handy yet again for me, and I found it extremely comfortable. I hope these comments help. I did sleep well, but I was up off and on last night helping him, so I did not have a lot of sleep and maybe I am just rambling. Hehe. Just know that when I did sleep, I slept soundly yet again on this sofa bed.
