Maybe I should wait longer than my dog's first meal with this bowl to write a review. It's still far more than I anticipated spending on a dog bowl, but, I have an excellent feeling about this one. Based on first impressions, from the product packaging, first handling and visual experience, this is an example in the affirmative of the old adage, you get what you pay for. Frankly, I have yet to wonder why anyone would choose to spend more dollars on a Yeti. You want my honest opinion? I say don't even waste your time or the extra money doing that. I got this bowl because I hate my dog's plastic bowl (it is on the small side too), and his stainless steel cheap thin generic water bowl that came with him even more. I also got tired of him pushing his bowl all out of place trying to lick imaginary crumbs and scrapes after his meal. This bowl is heavy. He's a 65 - 70lb+ pit bull. Granted, results will very depending on just how aggressive your dog is with the bowl, but this bowl stayed put. It is also very well constructed and looks like it will wear extremely well for many years. I cannot wait until the second bowl arrives.
