After One Day of Use
After one day of use, I am pleased with the blanket. It arrived feeling very matted and rough, somewhat inflexible. Definitely not soft to the touch. After a wash on the delicate cycle in my washing machine, and two cycles on low heat in my dryer, the blanket is much softer, even a little fuzzy. It’s very comfortable to the skin, caused no irritation and has no chemical or unpleasant odor. So far, machine washing seems to be a safe cleaning method. The weave is a little looser than I expected, and the blanket is overall thinner than I expected. Also, I do not love the 5% mystery “other fibers” mixed in with the wool and polyester. Overall, however, for the price this is a very nice blanket. Again, I’ve owned it and slept with it for one night at the time of writing, but compared to the much higher price of other wool blankets, this seems like a fair deal. If you’re looking for a wool blanket but can’t afford one from Pendleton, Faribault, Faribo, Woolrich etc., then I would recommend this one.
