I've had this sub for nearly 2 months. I also happen to be a former SQL Contestant, winning national competitions on both loudness and clarity of my car setup. Here is my short unbiased review of this slim sub all-in-one. Install: Exactly the same as a separate amp/speaker setup, sans speaker wire. Fairly easy to do if you have any car audio experience. Positioning here is key. Forget practicality. This is a small sub, look for an acoustic position. That means, hatches, corners, trunks are your friend. Baring in mind this thing barely has a box, you won't that low end sound to bounce off as many corners as possible without choking it. Most people get these to go under the seat, not a good idea. Put it in the back corner of your truck cab, of a corner of your hatch. Best yet, in the trunk! 8ga power cable is more than you need, but get a good ground (remember to scrape any paint off the grounding point). Build/Value: Solid, look at the reviews of this thing and compare it to other brands. Rockville, you weren't an entry when I was competing, but goodness, I wish you were. My idea of value is simple, if I can look at your product and have no idea how you were able to design and sell it at your current price, I believe you are giving me value. This thing has value!!! Sound: Outstanding, baring in mind a few things. This is a single 10" flat sub. Keep that in mind. Install will affect sound. I currently have it attached to my rear seat on a hatchback. The low end is reminiscent of a pair of 10" subs in an open box. Not the tightest, but clear and makes my mirrors rattle just enough to know it's there. I actually use it at 50% power and anyone who sits in the car know there's a sub in there. It has enhanced my car stereo 10x with some of my friends even asking if I am getting back into competition!
