When I first opened the package I thought the tines might be too malleable but they are perfect. I have the purple one in my shower. The first time I used it, I suds up my hair and scrubbed my head. I had no idea how tense my scalp was until I used it; bonus relaxer! My scalp felt so clean and all the buildup from products and dry scalp is gone. Full disclosure: I have long hair and it will get a little tangled from using it but it is so worth it. Nothing a little conditioner wont fix. Since I liked it so much, and I had a second one, I decided to use the green one on my cat. Skittles has really long, thick, multilayered, fine fur and is picky about what type of brush you use on him. He loves it and so do I! The brush traps most of the hairs and is easy to use to pick up any flying around. I think Skittles likes it because it's like getting a massage and his hair brushed at the same time. I am very happy with this purchase!
