When I first got my Note 2, I was concerned about damage. The factory finish is a bit slick and the size of the phone can make it awkward to hold in some situations. I knew I needed protection on it - and quickly. I first got a TPU case for it ($10) while I decided on a more substantial case. The TPU case worked well, but still didn't have the sense of protection that I was looking for. I my research, I looked at three cases. The Otterbox Commuter (didn't like the silicone - too sticky), the Otterbox Defender (this phone is big enough), and the UAG. The UAG won out for features, size, and price. Their cases have been well received in the past and this looked like another winner. I paid the $30 and waited for delivery. This is a fantastic case. It's not too bulky, it slides in and out of my pocket easily, and it protects the phone. All of the openings are precise and functional. All of my USB charge cables fit without issue. The switch covers for volume and power feel great. The colored insert for the rear vents is a nice touch. I think I'm going to make some custom inserts with various colors and patterns to fit my mood. This is one sexy phone case. Don't tell my wife, but I'm tempted to get the white one too for when I want to play Star Wars. There's something about the white version that screams Stormtrooper. UPDATE: This case just paid for itself. I was taking my phone out of my shirt pocket and it slipped. In my enthusiasm to catch the phone, I hit it with my hand and sent it flying. The phone flew through the air in slow motion, hit a corner, rolled across the sidewalk like a wheel, and landed face down. Damage: NOTHING. There was some dust on the case but it wiped off. You can't even tell that anything happened. A++++ WOULD BUY AGAIN
