Mystery...no. Drama...yes!
First I would like to say I am in no way paid to review this novel. I'm not a friend nor a family member. I downloaded it free and have chosen to give my honest opinion. Sara's Game is just that a game where Sara the player has to rescue her children from a menacing entity (evil human). As I read this novel, I knew who the culprit was far sooner than the author thought was possible. There were no real shocks in this story. It was very easy to figure out, but the "game" was fun watch unfold. There are areas of suspense and you truly do feel for Sara. But the constant repeating of words was a bit unnerving...for example, stupid, stupid, stupid I got it the first time. Granted the author wanted to make you aware of the stress going on in the scene, but that was described very well through the visual. The story is well written and the author definitely pulls the in reader in...mystery? No. Drama? Yes. would I recommend this novel to a mystery reader? NO. I would recommend it to someone who likes to cheer for the underdog. A great drama with little in the way of mystery.
