As others have written, it's extremely easy to set up - you basically just unfold it. Frame is fine, but only four stars because there is no way to attach a headboard to the frame without purchasing a separate component and no info on which component to purchase. We took a chance and got the "Zinus Headboard Bracket, Set of 2" https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0142WKA10/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and it is compatible with this bed frame.
