Normally I loathe iPhone cases because like. Remember when you were a kid and you had an awesome Halloween costume and you were like HECK YEAH I’M A PIRATE but it was cold that year so your parents made you put on a big thick coat and fuzzy gloves and at that point your costume was just ‘weather-conscientious person with poor depth perception’ (assuming you stuck with the eye-patch motif). WELL that’s how I’ve always felt about crappy cases covering up my awesome iPhone. But. I just got a 2020 SE and as awesome as it is, it’s a slippery little devil compared to my last SE so I broke down and ordered this case. Figured even if it sucked, no big, low price. Well! Turns out this case does NOT suck. It’s svelte and subtle and adds the perfect amount of grippiness. For the first time ever, I feel like my iPhone is protected AND improved. Buy with confidence! Wear a mask! That’s unrelated but, you should.* (If you’re reading this review far in the future and don’t understand the mask reference, pull up 2020’s Wikipedia page. It’s a doozy, and as of this writing, ONLY HALF OVER. Like, look ahead to the section that covers whatever crazy crap happens in August and just imagine, I HAVE NO IDEA IT’S COMING RIGHT THIS SECOND.
